Description[]
Do you like when your ships are being used as ovens, heated by your enemy's beam weapons? If not, try adding a number of Shield generators to diffuse that super concentrated energy and keep your ship running (as opposed to exploding). By surrounding your ship with its own energy field, you can stop those pesky lasers before they ever touch your ship. Or at least they can reduce the energy that gets through. However, shields do little to help against oversized pellet guns or giant fireworks, so look into other defenses if you wish to protect against them.
