Galactic Civilizations Wiki

You'll need to make room for a fair amount of entertainment centers to get this accomplished.

Best guess... big population = big influence = need for large amount of entertainment centers to keep approval up. But you'd also need farms to get pop up too. Still... I'm not sure if we need to be talking strategy there. Maybe just have this be the description of the actual conditions, and have another page with various strategies (because there's got to be more than one way to skin each exo-cat). --Steelviper 01:33, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

I changed that portion from "entertainment centers" to "embassies and cultural exchanges", due to the fact that entertainment networks increase approval, not influence. I also didn't provide an exact number of facilities needed because 1) the number of influence-increasing facilities is relative to the size of the galaxy you are playing in, and 2) I don't know exactly how many would be needed. You must also take Influence starbases into consideration as well, and since each galaxy is designed differently, I wouldn't know exactly what numbers to put up. If anyone does have a good estimate of how many influence facilities might be needed, then by all means, add it to what I have there. --SilentMage

Like Steelviper said, there is definately strategy behind aiming for a Influence Victory (and for the other victories, although the Tech and Domination Victories are pretty straightforward IMO), because you not only have to build the influence-increasing facilities, but also the entertainment networks because you will need a large population to influence nearby planets and systems. It's not as simple as just building an embassy on all your planets and starbases. A seperate section on winning strategies will be needed, as having such discussions on this page will make it much longer than it has to. --SilentMage

Political Victory?[]

I also saw many times on the Metaverse a "Political" victory.. what is this about? is it the same as Diplomatic victory?
